Holy Cross Women fall in Overtime

Notre Dame, Ind. The Holy Cross College women’s soccer team began their Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference play this afternoon when they hosted Judson University. The Saints came into the match 3-2 in their non-conference season, while the Eagles ended their non-conference stretch 2-2. The Saints welcomed back to today’s game the HCC alumni and also the TOPSoccer youth program. After a scoreless first half, Maribel Hernandez put the Saints on the scoreboard with a goal in the 75th minute. Judson was able to score a goal in the 89th minute of regulation to send the game into overtime 1-1.The Eagles were able to score a game winning goal in the 99th minute to take the 3-2 victory. With the loss, Holy Cross stands at 3-3 and 0-1 in CCAC play, while Judson improves to 3-2 and 1-0 in CCAC.
