South Bend, Ind. The Holy Cross College women’s soccer team faced off against the St. Ambrose University in a Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference matchup at TCU School Field. St. Ambrose was able to take a 1-0 lead heading into halftime. The Bees would extend their lead to 2-0 in the 51st minute, but Sarah Cernugel was able to cut into the lead with a goal in the 53rd minute off the assist from Olivia Shaw. Shaw was then able to tie the game up in the 56th minute with a goal of her own. Holy Cross would take a 3-2 lead after a cleanup goal from Bella Cuevas in the 68th minute. That goal would prove to be the game-winning goal as the Saints would defeat SAU 3-2. With the win, Holy Cross stands at 8-4 and 7-3 in conference play, while SAU falls to 6-6 and 4-4.
