Holy Cross women’s soccer falls at St.Ambrose

Davenport, Iowa. The Holy Cross College women’s soccer team continued their Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference play this afternoon when they traveled to St. Ambrose University. It was a slow start for both teams, with no scoring in the first half. The Saints were able to record five shots in the first half, while the Fighting Bees had seven shots. Early in the second half, the Saints were able to score in the 47th minute with a goal by Nicole Cook. St. Ambrose responded with three unanswered goals coming in the 50th, 55th, and 73rd minutes. The Saints scored late in the 82nd minute, with Hannah Lemieux recording the goal, but the comeback was not enough as Holy Cross would fall 3-2. With the loss, the Saints stand at 3-3-6 overall and 2-3-2 in conference play, while the Fighting Bees improve to 5-2-3 and 4-0-2.
