“Promoting education based athletics in Indiana”
The NCAA Basketball Tournament is one of the most exciting sports events of the year. This year’s surprising team is Loyola-Chicago. They are advancing to the Final Four for the first time in over 50 years.
Their coach, Porter Moser, was asked how a small Division I school gets to the Final Four? His response was emotional and very truthful.
“It’s an accumulation of a group that is resilient and tough and believes and invested ……..this didn’t just happen two weeks ago, but it’s not one person, it’s not one player, it’s a collaboration of a lot of tough, high character people.”
The winning recipe for a championship team requires more than just athletic ability and individual skills. It requires meshing all those unnoticed sacrifices to survive against the best of the best. Like Coach Moser said, you can’t win on skill alone. It’s a combination of all the little things (that are truly the big things) that leads teams to their greatest performance!
