Hoosiers’ Tara Trainer and Huskers’ Tristen Edwards and Lindsey Walljasper receive Big Ten’s top honors this week

Tristen Edwards, Nebraska

Posted a .583 batting average, .667 on-base percentage and 1.917 slugging percentage with five home runs, 14 RBI and eight runs scored last weekend in Nebraska’s four-game sweep at the ACC/Big Ten Challenge
Went 4-for-4 with two home runs and a school record-tying eight RBI in Sunday’s win over Pittsburgh
Also hit two home runs with three RBI in the Huskers’ victory over series host and No. RV/23 N.C. State on Feb. 15
Named an Academic All-Big Ten honoree in 2017-18
Earns her third career Player of the Week honor

Tossed two complete games last weekend, including a one-hit shutout at series host Duke on Feb. 15, taking a perfect game into the seventh inning and ending up one out shy of a no-hitter

Hit home runs in both of Nebraska’s victories over series host and No. RV/23 N.C. State, driving in three runs on Feb. 15 and adding two RBI on Feb. 16
Also earned a pitching win on Feb. 15 against the nationally-ranked Wolfpack, going 6.0 innings in the circle and allowing two unearned runs on five hits with nine strikeouts and one walk
