Helped the Spartans open the season with a 3-1 mark against Maryland at Fluor Field in Greenville, S.C.

Hit a team-leading .462 (6-13), with five RBI and one double, logging a .538 slugging percentage and scoring three runs

Beat out an infield single to keep MSU’s rally going in the seventh and later came around to score the game-winning run, completing MSU’s comeback after a 4-0 lead by Maryland on Saturday night

Didn’t allow his first hit until a bunt single in the bottom of the fifth inning

The Academic All-Big Ten honoree wins his first career Big Ten Pitcher of the Week award

Made his first collegiate start in Sunday’s series finale vs. Michigan State, picking up the win and pitching nine innings of two-run ball

Allowed just six hits and one earned run, striking out two, all on 103 pitches

Became the first Terp to pitch nine or more innings since Hunter Parsons tossed a nine-inning complete-game shutout over Stetson on March 25, 2018
