Retired the game’s first 13 batters and finished with 12 strikeouts over eight innings

Improved to 3-0 on the season and has not surrendered a run in 23.0 innings

Records his second career Big Ten Pitcher of the Week honor and second in as many weeks

Produced an RBI single in the seventh inning that proved to be the eventual game-winner

Preserved his own win, earning the save by pitching the final inning and retiring the final three batters in order with a pair of strikeouts
