Purdue’s Dalesandro named Player of the Week; Iowa’s Allgeyer earns Pitcher of the Week recognition; Minnesota’s Fredrickson tabbed Freshman of the Week
Player of the Week
Nick Dalesandro, Purdue
C – Jr. – Plainfield, Ill. – Joliet Catholic
- Recorded a pair of three-hit games to help the Boilermakers go 5-0 on the week, including wins over Chicago State, No. 15 Indiana and a series sweep against Rutgers
- Reached base safely in 14 of his 22 plate appearances, including nine times in the Rutgers series
- Caught all but one inning as Purdue surrendered just eight runs in 45 innings (1.40 ERA) during its 5-0 week
- Hit a pair of doubles and stole four bases as he registered a .636 on-base percentage and .667 slugging percentage
- Wins his first career Big Ten Player of the Week award

- Tossed 7.0 innings, leading Iowa to a 4-2 victory over Big Ten-leading Michigan last week
- Scattered five hits and allowed one earned run in the start to notch his 10th straight quality start
- Tied a career high with eight strikeouts, his fourth eight-strikeout game of the season
- Records his second career Big Ten Pitcher of the Week honor
