Carrothers nabs CCAC Player of the Week
GARY, Ind. – After averaging 43.5 points, seven rebounds and six assists last week Indiana University Northwest women’s basketball student-athlete Jessica Carrothers took home CCAC Player of the Week honors.
Carrothers, who scored 36 points last Wednesday against Judson, also grabbed eight boards and dished eight assists. Then on Saturday the Highland, Ind., native scored a career-high and school record 51 points at St. Ambrose on 22-of-30 shooting.
This season, Carrothers is second in the nation in scoring at 28.3 points per game, and averages 7.2 rebounds and gives 4.1 assists a contest.
This is the second time this season Carrothers has earned CCAC Player of the Week honors – she previously garnered the honor on Jan. 9.
