CHICAGO, Ill. – Trailing by as much as ten in the second half, IU South Bend rallied behind 12 second-half points from Miles Tracy to pull out an 80-75 overtime win at Saint Xavier on Wednesday night.
Tracy finished with a team-high 20 points, on 8-of-12 shooting with nine rebounds in the win. Sergio Diaz scored 15 points with seven boards, while Dylan Allen and Micah Poole each collected 14.

The Titans (5-2, 2-0 CCAC) fell behind 12-2 to start the game, as a pair of three-pointers put the Cougars (3-4, 0-2 CCAC) up double-digits just over two minutes into the matchup. Saint Xavier would lead throughout the first half, going up by as much as 13, but the Titans closed the half on a 7-0 run that included two straight buckets from Diaz. IUSB cut the deficit to 36-31 at the half, with Diaz leading the team in scoring with nine points.

Saint Xavier continued to hold a lead until the final two minutes, as the Titans claimed the lead after holding the Cougars without a field goal for over seven minutes of play. An 11-1 run capped by a pair of free throws from Allen put the Titans up 61-60 for their first lead of the night, with 1:19 to play.

The Titans held a two-point lead in the final seconds, but Saint Xavier would score on a put-back to tie the game and force overtime.

A pair of free throws gave Saint Xavier the early lead in OT, but a key three-pointer from Diaz at the 3:07 mark started an 8-2 run that put IUSB in front for good. The Titans went a perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line in the final 28 seconds and secure the win.
The win is the fourth straight for the Titans over SXU, and the second straight win on the road.
The Titans return to the Student Activities Center on Saturday, when they continue CCAC play by hosting Lincoln. Tipoff with the Lynx on November 20 is set for 3:00 p.m.
