SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Indiana University South Bend men’s basketball looks to rebound from a loss in its Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference contest last Saturday when it travels to IUPUI on Tuesday, Dec. 10 for an exhibition contest before heading to Akron Wayne College on Saturday, Dec. 14.

IUSB enters the week with a 4-3 Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference record and an 8-5 overall record after going 1-1 last week. The Titans defeated Calumet College of St. Joseph 77-65 on the road before falling at home on Saturday to the hands of Indiana University Northwest 85-81.
Tuesday’s exhibition battle will be the first NCAA Division I opponent that IUSB has faced all year. The Jaguars are 2-8 overall, having lost their last six games including a 102-54 loss at Ball State on Saturday in Muncie, Ind.
Saturday’s contest against the Warriors will be the sixth meeting all-time as IUSB holds the 5-0 record. The last time these two teams met was back on Jan. 2, 2019 as the Titans came away with a 118-82 victory in Orrville, Ohio.
Senior transfer Kourtlandt Martin leads the Titans with 172 points this season and ranks 19th in the conference with 14.3 points per game. Junior Norell Smith is 13th in the CCAC with 7.2 rebounds per game having grabbed 86 total rebounds through 13 games. Martin is also top on the team with 43 total assists and is tied for eighth in the .CCAC with 3.58 per game while his 1.50 steals per game is 14th-best in the league.
