SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Indiana University South Bend men’s basketball team looks to increase its winning streak, traveling to Indiana University Northwest on Wednesday, Jan. 29 for a rematch of this seasons earlier contest before hosting Trinity International University on Saturday, Feb. 1 inside the Student Activities Center. Tip in South Bend is slated for 3 p.m.

IUSB improved its record to 15-7 overall and 9-5 in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference play after they defeated St. Francis and Robert Morris last week.
Wednesday’s rematch against IU Northwest in Gary, Ind. will be the fourth contest on the road for the Titans in the month of January. The last time these two teams met the RedHawks came away with an 85-81 victory, but IUSB holds the head-to-head advantage 5-2.
IU South Bend concludes its week with a home game on Saturday to begin the month of February. The Trojans (4-15, 3-11 CCAC) fell 81-53 to the hands of St. Ambrose at home back on Saturday, Jan. 25. The Titans hold the slight 7-6 advantage over TIU, having won last year’s matchup 78-71 in South Bend and snapped a six-game losing streak to the Trojans.
Senior transfer Kourtlandt Martin hit a milestone this past week grabbing his 1,000th career point in the victory at Robert Morris. The Evansville, Ind. native leads the Titans with 301 points and ranks 19th in the conference with 14.3 points per game. Martin is also ranked 12th in field goal percentage at .474 in the league. Junior Norell Smith ranks 17th in the CCAC with 6.3 rebounds per game and leads IUSB with 132 total rebounds.
