SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Indiana University South Bend men’s basketball suffered it’s first setback of the season on Friday night to the hand of Bethel University by a score of 100-76 inside the Student Activities Center. The Pilots were hot from behind the arc, registering 15 three-pointers to hand the Titans the loss.

Senior Miguel Mahan and sophomore Donyell Meredith II led the Titan offense with 16 point each, respectively. Junior Norell Smith was the final IUSB player in double-figures as the St. Johns, Ind. native collected 11 on the night.
Mahan and senior Kourtlandt Martin both grabbed five rebounds while Mahan added the game-high three rejections. Indianapolis, Ind. native Kenny Washington dished out a team-high four assists while as a team IUSB collected 12 total assists.
Bethel came out firing in the first half going 12-of-22 from behind the arc en route to a Pilot 53-33 lead in the first half as the Titans just couldn’t recover from there. The Pilots led in almost every single statistical category on the night including rebounds, 41-31, assists, 23-12, three-point field goals made, 15-7 and shooting percentage, 58.7-40.3.
IU South Bend is back in action Tuesday, Nov. 5 welcoming Andrews University inside the Student Activities Center at 7 p.m.
