SYLVANIA, Ohio. – Indiana University South Bend women’s basketball remained undefeated on Tuesday evening with an 83-52 win at Lourdes, improving to 4-0 during 2019-20. Four different Titans scored in double-figures led by sophomore Rachael Robards with a game-high 14 points.



As a team, IUSB for the game shot 47.3 percent from the field including a quarter-high 60 percent in the final ten minutes. The Titans had 15 turnovers to Lourde’s 28 with IUSB scoring 36 off turnovers. IUSB dominated in the paint scoring 42 points to the Gray Wolves 28. Off the bench the Crimson & Cream scored 38 points, improving its record to 4-0 when scoring over 20 points off the bench.

Freshman Katie Gard registered her second double-figure game with 13 points off three-of-four shooting from behind the arc. As a team, the Titans collected 11 threes as senior Kyleigh Kubik added three to go along with four other field goals, good for 11 points and her second straight and third double-digit point game.

Junior Courtney Haynes was the final Titan in double-figures with 10, nearly missing out on her first double-double of the season with a game-high eight rebounds. Kubik dished out a game-high four of IUSB’s 13 assists while junior guard Taitlyn Trenshaw collected a game-high four steals.

IU South Bend outscored Lourdes in every quarter except the third by a score of 17-14 in Sylvania, Ohio. The largest lead for the Crimson & Cream occurred at 1:21 in the fourth by 34 as the Titans trailed by just two early in the game at 9:40 in the first stanza.

The Titans return home for a pair of tough non-conference matches, beginning with Huntington University on Friday, Nov. 8 at 5:30 p.m. IU South Bend then prepares for No. 22 UM-Dearborn on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 1 p.m. inside the Student Activities Center.
