Women’s Basketball’s Hopes of Extending Record Breaking Season Comes to an End in NAIA Selection Show
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Indiana University South Bend women’s basketball team finishes its record-breaking season with a 25-7 overall record after a not receiving an at-large bid to the NAIA Division II Women’s Basketball National Championship.
The Titans were ranked for the first time under head coach Steve Bruce during the 2019-20 campaign and were tabbed as high as No. 20.
IUSB finished fourth in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference regular season and defeated Saint Ambrose 89-80 in double overtime of the CCAC Quarterfinals. The victory boosted the Titans to the semifinal round but fell at No. 6 Saint Xavier by a score of 91-74.
Three CCAC women’s basketball teams received bids to the 2020 NAIA National Tournament, including Saint Xavier, Olivet Nazarene and St. Francis (Ill.).
The Titans say goodbye to their two seniors in Kyleigh Kubik and Taylor Wesley.
