SOUTH BEND, Ind.- The Indiana University South Bend Titans (18-7, 11-7 CCAC) defeated the Viterbo University V-Hawks (14-12, 7-11 CCAC) by a final score of 65-57 on Senior Day as seniors Sullivan Kessler, Amaya Rufus were honored.

Back and forth through the entire first quarter, a low scoring period saw the Titans and Viterbo tied at 12-12 through 10 minutes.

Saturday’s second quarter was not friendly to IU South Bend as they scored only seven points in the quarter to enter halftime trailing 27-19.

The Titans came on hot in the third quarter, scoring a total of 29 points in the period to regain the lead through three quarters.

However Viterbo would not go away as the V-Hawks tied the game at 55-55 with less than five minutes left to play.

IU South Bend closed out the game on a 10-2 run to help seal an eight point victory over Viterbo University.

A less than efficient IUSB offense still managed to feature three players to score in double figures, led by freshman Keylee Hudson who finished with 17 points.

Hudson’s 17 points all came in the second half on better than 60% shooting from the field while also recording three rebounds and three steals.

The next Titan to score in double figures was Senior Day honoree Jazmen Watts who finished with 15 points.

Watts’ 15 points were scored on five made field goals while also shooting a perfect 5-5 from the free throw line.

The last Titan to score in double digits was was Tenleigh Phelps who finished with 14 points.

Phelps’ 14 points came in large thanks to three made triples while also hauling in six rebounds in a team high 33 minutes of playing time.

The Indiana University South Bend Titans return to action on Wednesday, February 19th, when they travel to Bourbonnais, Illinois, to take on the Tigers of Olivet Nazarene University at 6:30 PM ET.
