SOUTH BEND, Ind.-Â The Indiana University South Bend Titans (8-0, 3-0 CCAC) defeated the Miami University Hamilton Harriers (3-5) by a score of 83-45. The 9-0 start marks the best start to a season in IU South Bend Women’s Basketball history.
Maddie Gard and Tia Chambers led the Titans in scoring, both with 14 points apiece. Gard shot 7-10 from the field while also securing six rebounds. Chambers shot 6-10 from the field as well as 2-3 from the free throw line. While they were the only Titans to reach double figures, every IU South Bend Titan that entered the game scored at least two points.
An aggressive Titans defensive forced 31 Miami Hamilton turnovers which lead to 31 points for IU South Bend.
Miami Hamilton was led by freshman Juliana Kemper, who finished with 11 points on 50% shooting from the field as well as hauling in five rebounds.
The Indiana University South Bend Titans return to action on Saturday, December 3rd, as they look to extend their school record winning streak to begin a season to 10 games. The Titans tip off against Trinity Christian at 1:00 PM in the Student Activities Center.
