MARION, Ind. – Indiana Wesleyan softball concluded their fifth straight Opening Round appearance Wednesday, with a 6-0 loss to the Owls of Oregon Tech. The Owls used a six-run second inning, downing the Wildcats early.
IWU will finish the year with a record of 44-15-1, giving the Wildcats five straight seasons with 40 or more wins.
GAME 1
- Coach Stewart gambled early pinch hitting Baylee Wyscaver for Olivia Lethlean and Wyscaver delivered with a double to right-center, scoring Maddie Devernas who singled to lead off the inning.
- The Owls would keep things going scoring six runs in the inning while collecting six hits.
- Miranda Wehrle, Victoria Boyer, and Michaela Lovelesscollected the only hits of the ball game.
