CINCINNATI, Ohio. – Indiana Wesleyan women’s soccer scored early and often Thursday, defeating Cincinnati Christian 6-0.  This was just the second meeting between clubs, with the Wildcats winning 3-0 in 2012. Lauren Turner scored her first career multi-goal game while Tia Sanford picked up her ninth. The match was cut short 10 minutes early due to lightning.

SEIFFERT PERSPECTIVE

  • First half we came out a bit sloppy and really didn’t put together the type of effort that we have been building off of these past couple games.  In the second half, the team really turned it on and picked up their overall play.  We are making steps in the right direction but we know it is going to take us time to get to the place we need to be. I’m proud of these young women for their reliance and trust in each other with this team. We look forward to getting back to work soon!

NEXT TIME ON THE PITCH

  • IWU returns home on September 12 taking on Olivet Nazarene.
