IWU Leads Preseason Crossroads League Poll, Mangas Claims Top Honor

AVON, Ohio – The Crossroads League announced its 2018-2019 Men’s Basketball Preseason Poll and Preseason All-League award winners on Wednesday, as voted on by the league’s 10 head coaches.
Indiana Wesleyan was tabbed as the clear preseason favorite to win the Crossroads League Championship, after securing its second NAIA National Championship in three seasons to close the 2017-2018 campaign.
IWU’s Kyle Mangas was selected by the league head coaches as the Crossroads League Preseason Player of the Year. Mangas earned NAIA First-Team All-American and NAIA National Championship Tournament Most Valuable Player honors as a freshman and is joined on the Preseason First-Team All-Crossroads League Team by follow 2017-2018 All-Americans, Wes Stowers (MU), Paul Marandet (SAU) and Evan Maxwell (IWU), in addition to reigning CL Defensive Player of the Year, Regginald Kissoonlal (MU).
