IWU Volleyball Completes Perfect Weekend
MARION, Ind. – Indiana Wesleyan University volleyball won all four matches this weekend at the IWU Invitational to improve to 12-10 this season. IWU defeated Trinity International (Ill.) and Saint Francis (Ill.) on Saturday, both in three sets. IWU has now won six straight matches and 10 of their last 11.
MARCI’S BIG WEEKEND
Marci Miller had 14 kills vs. Trinity International and 12 more vs. Saint Francis, both totals were match-highs. Miller finished the invite with 53 kills and 4.4 kills per set.
COMING UP ACES
The Wildcats served 11 aces on Saturday, including seven against St. Francis in just three sets. The seven aces is the second highest total this season. Kendyll Gebert served three in the finale vs. the Saints.
The Indiana Wesleyan defense showcased its net presence with 14 blocks in the two victories. Megan Graber had the best performance with three solos and six assists on Saturday.
Indiana Wesleyan saved the best performance of the weekend for the final match vs. Saint Francis. The Wildcats hit .307 as a team with 48 kills on 114 attempts.
