IWU Volleyball Makes Quick Work of Grace
WINONA LAKE, Ind. – Indiana Wesleyan University volleyball collected an important 3-0 road win against a very good Grace (Ind.) team on Saturday in Winona Lake, Indiana. IWU dominated much of the match and the result brings the two teams into a tie in the Crossroads League with identical 6-3 records.
STATS DON’T LIE
Indiana Wesleyan nearly doubled up Grace in the kills column, 47-25. IWU finished with 14 or more kills in each set while Grace had a high of 11 and two sets with only 7.
SPREADING THE BALL AROUND
The Wildcats attacked the Lancers from a variety of directions. Four players recorded nine or more kills, led by Ana Collar with 12. Marci Miller added 11, Megan Graber had 10, and Kelly Miller finished with 9.
ANOTHER LEAGUE VICTORY
IWU opened Crossroads League play with two losses in three tries. Since that time, Indiana Wesleyan has won five of their last six matches to soar to 6-3 on the season and move into a third place tie at the midway point of the league schedule.
UP NEXT FOR THE WILDCATS
Indiana Wesleyan returns home on Wednesday to kick off a five match week in Luckey Arena. IWU hosts Taylor (Ind.) at 7 p.m. on Wednesday and then hosts the IWU Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
