MARION, Ind. – Small College Basketball announced that Indiana Wesleyan University sophomore Kyle Mangas was selected to the Bevo Francis Award Top-100 Watch List.
The Clarence ‘Bevo’ Francis Award is presented annually to the player who has the finest overall season within Small College Basketball. Considerations will be season statistics and individual achievements, awards, personal character and team achievements. This prestigious award is given to one player per season within Small College Basketball.
Mangas was chosen to the Top-100 Watch List which includes players from NAIA, NCCAA Division II and III, NCCAA, and USCAA. He is one of 10 underclassmen represented on the list and was one of two freshman on the list last season.
The Warsaw, Indiana native has led No. 3 Indiana Wesleyan to a 17-3 record thus far and a 6-2 mark in the Crossroads League. Mangas has averaged 22.9 points on 57.5-percent shooting from the field and 43.2-percent from 3-point range. He also has 4.5 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.5 steals per contest.
