Johnson Anchors Pilots on Day One at Campbellsville

The Bethel men played their way into fifth place at the midway point of the Campbellsville Invitational at Rosewood Golf Club in Lebanon, Kentucky. With a team score of 335, BC trails the field leaders, Brescia, by 24 strokes and needs to make up a 17-stroke deficit to West Virginia Tech to climb into fourth position.

The Pilots were anchored by Tim Johnson who carded a 75 in the opening round. His 75 puts him in a three-way tie for fourth place in the field of 38. Following suit was Zach Hochstedler who turned in a 78 after 18 holes of play, which also puts him in the top 10 heading into the final round. Rounding out BC’s team score was the freshmen tandem of Roman Ojala and Reis Yoder who carded an 89 and 93, respectively.

Play at the Rosewood Golf Club will continue tomorrow with the second and final round of the Campbellsville Invitational.
