  1. Mishawaka (2-0): Before leaving with an injury, Chase Gooden tallied 166 yards on the ground with three touchdowns in the No. 5 (Class 5A) Cavemen’s 30-8 win over Saint Joseph.
  2. Penn (2-0): Jake Balis ran 13 times for 57 yards and a score in the Kingsmen’s 31-6 win over Portage.
  3. Warsaw (2-0): Nick Katris returned an interception 32 yards for a touchdown in the Tigers’ 24-7 win over No. 9 (Class 5A) Chesterton.
  4. New Prairie (2-0): Tayvion Ortman recovered a fumble in the end zone for a score in the No. 7 (Class 4A) Cougars’ 33-14 win over Goshen.
  5. NorthWood (2-0): NiTareon Tuggle had an 80-yard kickoff for a touchdown and threw a 49-yard pass for another tally in the No. 10 (Class 4A) Panthers’ 35-14 win over East Noble.

HONORABLE MENTION

Elkhart (2-0): Aalias Leonard found the end zone three times in the Lions’ 28-7 win over Northridge.

Glenn (2-0): Chase Miller came up with a 44-yard touchdown reception in the Falcons’ 44-28 win over Riley.

Marian (1-1): Leopino Sete raced for 80 yards with a touchdown in the No. 9 (Class 3A) Knights’ 21-3 win at Culver Academy.

Northridge (1-1): Kade Sainz hauled in a 17-yard touchdown pass for the Raiders against Elkhart.

Saint Joseph (1-1): Brady Farrell came up with a one-yard touchdown for the Indians against Mishawaka.

MAKING STRIDES

Bremen (1-1): Lance Moser racked up 19 rushes for 196 yards with two touchdowns and threw a pass for another score in the Lions’ 42-6 win over Washington.

Concord (1-1): Titus Hackworth scampered for 105 yards with a score for the Minutemen in their 14-0 win over Jimtown.

Riley (1-1): Robert Nabieu’s 78-yard kickoff return for a touchdown and 72-yard run for a score were not enough for the Wildcats against Glenn.

HELP WANTED

Adams (0-2): Phoenyx Clark tossed for 161 yards and two touchdowns in the Eagles’ 24-14 loss to Fairfield.

Clay (0-2): Kenneth Lax recorded a pair of quarterback sacks in the Colonials’ 46-8 loss at Twin Lakes.

Goshen (0-2): Drew Elliott had a one-yard scoring run for the RedHawks against New Prairie.

Jimtown (0-2): Jackson Clopton had three receptions for 28 yards for the Jimmies against Concord.

Plymouth (0-2): Kaden Millser ended with two carries for 19 yards in the Rockies’ 49-0 loss at No. 9 (Class 4A) Kokomo.

Washington (0-2): JaQuan Patton was responsible for the Panthers’ only touchdown against Bremen.

Wawasee (0-2): Brandon Kelly came up with a 32-yard fumble recovery for a score in the Warriors’ 35-24 loss to West Noble.

COMING ATTRACTIONS

Concord (1-1) at NorthWood (2-0): The Minutemen have taken seven of the previous 10 meetings against NorthWood.

Indianapolis Cathedral (1-1) at Penn (2-0): The Kingsmen are looking for their first 3-0 start since 2016.

New Prairie (2-0) at Lowell (1-1): The Cougars have won three of the last four contests with Lowell.

Northridge (1-1) at Mishawaka (2-0): The Cavemen are going for their third straight victory over Northridge.

Saint Joseph (1-1) at Glenn (2-0): The Falcons will be trying to halt a three-game losing streak to Saint Joseph.
