TERRIFIC TRIO

Elkhart (9-0): Cameron Wiltfong had a one-yard touchdown run in the No. 5 (Class 6A) Lions’ 14-10 win over Chesterton.

Marian (10-0): Jayson Johnson returned a punt 88 yards for a touchdown and hauled in an 80-yard pass for another score in the No. 2 (Class 3A) Knights’ 44-19 win over Jimtown.

Mishawaka (7-3): Drew Mason rambled 38 times for 234 yards and four touchdowns in the No. 9 (Class 5A) Cavemen’s 49-21 win over Adams.

THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES

Adams (4-6): Chuck Worsham returned a kickoff 78 yards for a touchdown and ran 32 yards for another score for the Eagles against Mishawaka.

Bremen (9-3): Zack Czarnecki hauled in an eight-yard pass for a score in the Lions’30-14 loss to No. 3 (Class 2A) Pioneer.

Jimtown (7-4): Mick Carithers caught a 58-yard touchdown pass for the Jimmies against Marian.

Warsaw (8-3): Luke Adamiec had a seven-yard reception for a score in the Tigers’ 30-22 loss to No. 8 (Class 6A) Homestead.

Marian (10-0) at Calumet (5-1) (Class 3A regional final): The Knights are in pursuit of their third regional crown in the last four years, while Calumet is in the regional round for the first time.

Merrillville (9-1) at Elkhart (9-0) (Class 6A regional final): The Pirates are looking for back-to-back regional titles, while Elkhart is going for its first regional championship.

Mishawaka (7-3) at Valparaiso (9-0) (Class 5A regional final): The Cavemen’s last regional title came in 2012, while Valparaiso is going for a regional three-peat.
