LAKELAND, Fla.—Southeastern University volleyball players Courtney Krause and Emily Boehlein were both named to the Google Cloud Academic All-District team, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
To be eligible, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore with two semesters complete at their current institution with a minimum grade point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale, and be a starter or key reserve for their team.
Krause totaled 658 assists, 147 digs, and 81 kills this season and was among the conference leaders in service aces with 40. The Venice, Fla. native carries a 3.95 GPA as a Biblical Studies major.
Boehlein earned All-Sun Conference recognition for the second consecutive season, and posted a .223 hitting percentage with 191 kills. The sophomore from Gainesville, Fla. recorded 58 total blocks this season. Boehlein carries a 3.97 GPA as a Biology/Pre-Med major and is a member of the SEU Honors College.
The Fire finished the 2018 season with a 23-4 record and finished second in The Sun Conference regular season standings.
