Lady Chargers Fall Short at Parkland

Champaign, IL – Ancilla 2, Illinois 2. Or that is the way it seems as the Ancilla College has spent the past two weeks of the season playing in the state of Illinois. Wednesday night they lost to host Parkland College 82-60 to even their record at 2-2 this season.

The Lady Chargers played with the hosts for third quarters, but a rough third quarter where they were outscored 25-6 was the difference in the game.

Cierra Spearman led Ancilla with 16 points, with LaRae Rascoe adding 12 and Camryn Kopka finished with 10. Emily Richard had eight rebounds and Jaela Meister had seven boards.

The Ancilla freshmen will get to play their first home game this Saturday when the Lady Chargers host Morton College at 1 p.m. at the LifePlex in Plymouth.
