Lady Chargers Fighting for Seeding
The Ancilla College women’s basketball team has secured a home game for the first National Junior College Athletic Association Regional game on March 6th. The game will be played at 6 p.m. at the LifePlex in Plymouth.
First, they need to find out if they will be the third or fourth seed. They travel to Glen Oaks tonight for a 5:30 p.m. they host Lake Michigan College on Wednesday. Ancilla (20-5, 10-4) and Lake Michigan (19-7, 10-4) are currently tied for third place. Both teams have two games left and LMC edged Ancilla 72-68 in Benton Harbor in January.
“We are looking to round out our historical season with two more wins this week, said head coach Tom Robbins. “That would give us a third place finish in the conference, which will be the highest ever for the women’s basketball team. It will also put us in a great position to make a run at the Region tournament.”
Both of these games are important if the Lady Chargers want that third place finish.
