Port Huron, MI – Ancilla College won its first women’s basketball regional Saturday when it defeated Lake Michigan College 67-64 ,in the championship of the National Junior College Athletic Association Region 12, District G. The Lady Chargers (25-5) will advance to the national tournament in Arkansas.
LaRae Roscoe was named the tournament MVO and led Ancilla with 20 points, five assists and three steals. Brynda Krueger and Quaynika Merriweather were named to the all-tournament team. Krueger finished with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Donshae Daniels had 10 rebounds.
