Lancers recognized with NABC excellence award

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Grace’s men’s basketball team received an impressive honor this week with the Team Academic Excellence Award from the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).

The Lancers were one of a few NAIA teams recognized with the award and the lone representative from the Crossroads League.

To receive the NABC academic distinction, a team must collectively post a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better for the 2016-17 season. All student-athletes who competed are counted into the team GPA.

Additionally, John Swanson and Stephen Halstead were named to the NABC Honors Court for their individual academic success.
