COLUMBIA, Ky.—David Larson’s game-winning field goal on Saturday helped earn him his second Mid-South Conference Sun Division Special Teams Player of the Week Award.

The sophomore was selected after connecting on two field goals and two extra points to help the Fire beat previously undefeated, and 22nd-ranked Webber International, 20-17.

In addition to his scoring, he helped the Fire win the field position battle averaging 41 yards per punt, placing three of his five inside the 20. Of his four kickoffs, two were touchbacks. Larson, along with a stellar defensive effort, held the Warriors to an average drive starting yard line of their own 20.5.

Larson is 17-of-18 on extra points, is 8-of-12 on field goal attempts, and averages 30.6 yards per punt.

The Fire travel to Ave Maria on Saturday for a 7 p.m. start.
