Lucas Bontreger named to the National High School All-Region Team

Goshen High School senior, Lucas Bontreger made the High School Great Lakes All-Region team.  The Great Lakes Region team includes players from Indiana, Ohio, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Kentucky and Michigan.  Lucas received this honor from the United Soccer Coaches Organization.

Lucas is the son of Fran and Myron Bontreger and has two siblings (Sofia and Olivia).  In addition to playing soccer, Lucas plans to pursue a major in business while at Goshen College. Through his hard work and dedication in soccer, Lucas has been awarded MVP (2016 & 2017), NLC All-Conference (2015, 2016, & 2017), ISCA All-District 1st Team (2016 & 2017), Academic All-State, 4-year letter winner, Edward Jones Student Athlete of the Month for October, and a Kiwanis Scholar Athlete his entire high school career.  Lucas also participates in PACT at GHS and his church’s youth group.  During his high school career, Lucas broke the school record in season goals and career goals.
