Marian and Taylor Garner Attention in NAIA Softball Poll

KANSAS CITY – The two hottest teams in the Crossroads League gained attention in the second NAIA Softball Top-25 Poll of the regular season, as Marian held at No. 4 and Taylor jumped into the receiving votes portion of the ratings.

 

No. 4 Marian (24-1, 15-0 CL) climbed 20 points to a new total of 475 but remained steady in the rankings at fourth overall. The Knights have won 17-straight contests and currently boast a three-game lead in the CL standings as the lone unbeaten squad in league play.

 

RV Taylor (19-10, 11-3 CL) has rattled off a program-best 11-straight victories and netted four points in the poll. TU is making its first appearance in the Top-25 Poll since earning its first-ever national ranking during the 2015 season.

 

The NAIA Top-25 Poll is voted on by a panel of head coaches from around the nation. The next softball Top-25 Poll will be announced on April 18.
