My late season push to reach 80 percent proved to be successful as I went 22-3 (88 percent) last week. Heading into the final week of the regular season, my overall record is 220-57, which leaves me at 79 percent.

MONDAY

NorthWood (11-8) at Lakeland (9-10): The Panthers cruised to 75-43 win over Lakeland a year ago. Brock Bontrager added eight points in NorthWood’s 80-51 win over Elkhart Christian. Mason Douglas had 19 points in the Lakers’ 66-41 loss to No. 4 (Class 2A) Central Noble. Matt’s pick: NorthWood 57, Lakeland 46.

TUESDAY

Bremen (8-11) at Triton (14-5): The Trojans claimed a 49-42 win over Bremen last season. Carson Miller finished with 10 points in the Lions’ 46-31 loss to Glenn. Tyson Yates contributed 10 points in Triton’s 51-39 loss to Argos. Matt’s pick: Triton 50, Bremen 42.

Bowman Academy (8-11) at Northridge (16-4): Koron Davis netted 23 points in the Eagles’ 64-57 win over Riley. Carter Stoltzfus poured in 29 points in the Raiders’ 57-34 win over Columbia City. Matt’s pick: Northridge 74, Bowman Academy 65.

Elkhart Christian (7-11) at New Prairie (15-6): The Cougars dropped a 70-61 contest to Elkhart Christian during the 2012=13 season. Bryce Coursen netted 20 points for the Eagles against NorthWood. Braydon Flagg notched 18 points in New Prairie’s 68-58 overtime win over Clay. Matt’s pick: New Prairie 63, Elkhart Christian 53

Glenn (17-4) at Concord (9-9): The Falcons soared to a 59-38 win over Concord in their previous meeting. Silas Kaser’s four points lifted Glenn past Bremen. Andres Dixon added eight points for the Minutemen in their 58-42 win at LaVille. Matt’s pick: Glenn 66, Concord 59.

Jimtown (4-17) at Wawasee (9-11): Tyson House tallied two points in the Jimmies’ 89-48 loss to Glenn. Collin Roberson scored 16 points in the Warriors’ 69-47 win over East Noble. Matt’s pick: Wawasee 42, Jimtown 34.

Michigan City (12-9) at Marian (16-3): The No. 3 (Class 3A) Knights earned a 58-47 win over Michigan City a season ago. Omarion Hatch finished with 16 points in the Wolves’ 66-62 loss to Merrillville. Mitchell Menting’s five points were not enough in Marian’s 56-44 loss to No. 7 (Class 4A) Warren Central. Matt’s pick: Marian 78, Michigan City 67.

Mishawaka (14-5) at Penn (8-10): The Kingsmen crowned Mishawaka, 55-47, last year. Arthur Jones chipped in six points in the Cavemen’s 61-53 loss to Riley. Cole Wojciechowski managed three points in Penn’s 56-47 loss at Elkhart. Matt’s pick: Mishawaka 60, Penn 55.

Plymouth (2-17) at Saint Joseph (15-4): The No. 6 (Class 3A) Indians rolled to a 94-58 win over Plymouth during the 2019-20 campaign. Michael Sheely racked up three points in the Pilgrims’ 45-31 loss to Goshen. Julian Kamanda recorded two points for Saint Joseph in its 85-36 win over Washington. Matt’s pick: Saint Joseph 71, Plymouth 51.

WEDNESDAY

Penn (9-10) at Plymouth (2-18): The Kingsmen edged Plymouth, 49-46, a year ago. Markus Burton poured in 26 points in Penn’s 63-49 win over Mishawaka. Nolan Bales came up with 14 points in the Pilgrims’ 85-35 loss to Saint Joseph. Matt’s pick: Penn 59, Plymouth 42.

THURSDAY

Marian (17-3) at Marquette Catholic (14-8) The Knights soared to an 85-36 win over Marquette Catholic last season. Richard Brooks poured in 27 points in Marian’s 77-51 win over Michigan City. Gary Lewis added 14 points in the Blazers’ 73-52 loss to Lake Central. Matt’s pick: Marian 74, Marquette Catholic 64.

Oregon-Davis (7-10) at Bremen (8-12): The Lions slipped by Oregon-Davis, 65-62, during the 2015-16 season. Nolan Green’s two points were not enough for the Bobcats in a 51-37 loss to LaVille. Dawson Hickman finished with six points in Bremen’s 73-42 loss to Triton. Matt’s pick: Bremen 45, Oregon-Davis 41.

Washington (4-16) at Kokomo (6-14): The Panthers edged Kokomo, 57-56, a year ago. Jawan Agnew ended with two points in Washington’s 60-57 loss to Warsaw. P.J. Flowers scored eight points in the Wildkats’ 59-57 loss to Fort Wayne North. Matt’s pick: Kokomo 60, Washington 58.

FRIDAY

Adams (20-1, 10-0 NIC) at New Prairie (16-6, 6-4 NIC): The No. 5 (Class 4A) Eagles soared to a 66-56 win over New Prairie a season ago. Quentez Columbus recorded 14 points in Adams’ 63-40 win over Riley. Hunter Smith accounted for 18 points in the Cougars’ 77-59 win over Elkhart Christian. Matt’s pick: Adams 64, New Prairie 50.

Culver (7-14) at Bremen (8-13): The Lions roared to a 37-31 win over Culver on January 18. Jalen King tallied 15 points in the Cavaliers’ 43-42 win over LaVille. Ty Feldman finished with three points for Bremen against Triton. Matt’s pick: Bremen 36, Culver 30.

DeKalb (9-10) at Northridge (17-4): The Raiders cruised to a 75-57 win over DeKalb last year. Cole Richmond registered 28 points in the Barons’ 60-54 win over Lakeland. Blake Jacobs chipped in six points in Northridge’s 74-51 win over Bowman Academy. Matt’s pick: Northridge 63, DeKalb 53.

Goshen (7-14) at Glenn (18-4): The RedHawks earned a 58-39 win over Glenn during the 2014-15 campaign. Drew Hogan tallied 14 points in Goshen’s 42-33 loss to Westview. Carter Yung registered 12 points in the Falcons’ 42-32 win at Concord. Matt’s pick: Glenn 57, Goshen 41.

Mishawaka (14-6) at Saint Joseph (16-4): The Cavemen suffered a 58-46 loss to Saint Joseph during the 2019-20 season. DaVonn Parker finished with 13 points for Mishawaka against Penn. Will Terry managed 10 points for the Indians against Plymouth. Matt’s pick: Saint Joseph 70, Mishawaka 56.

NorthWood (12-8) at Elkhart (11-10): The Panthers came up on the short end of a 65-62 decision to Elkhart during the 1971-72 campaign. Jamarr Jackson chipped in 11 points in NorthWood’s 61-47 win over Lakeland. Donovan Johnson had 11 points for the Lions against Penn. Matt’s pick: Elkhart 62, NorthWood 59.

Penn (10-10) at Merrillville (9-10): The Pirates were a 72-60 winner over Penn a season ago. Seth Jankowski scored two points in the Kingsmen’s 55-29 win over Plymouth. Dylan Coty accounted for 16 points in Merrillville’s 68-55 win over Lowell. Matt’s pick: Merrillville 54, Penn 52.

Washington (5-16) at LaPorte (5-16): The Panthers clawed past LaPorte, 69-44, in their previous meeting. Marcus Northern chipped in 15 points in Washington’s 63-59 win over Kokomo. Grant Ott-Large racked up 18 points in the Slicers’ 58-42 loss to Portage. Matt’s pick: Washington 59, LaPorte 58.

Wawasee (10-11) at Tippecanoe Valley (7-14): The Warriors rolled to a 56-36 win over Tippecanoe Valley a season ago. Caden Welty ended with 10 points in Wawasee’s 47-46 win over Jimtown. Nolan Cumberland paved the way with 14 points in the Vikings’ 51-45 win over North Judson. Matt’s pick: Wawasee 60, Tippecanoe Valley 55.

Westview (16-5) at Concord (9-10): The Minutemen dropped a 76-47 decision to Westview last season. Brady Yoder mustered 12 points in the Warriors’ 72-70 overtime loss to Fremont. Payton Fish was limited to four points for Concord against Glenn. Matt’s pick: Westview 65, Concord 61.

GIRLS STATE FINALS

CLASS 2A CHAMPIONSHIP

Tipton (20-7) vs. Linton-Stockton (26-1) (7 p.m. Friday): Ella Wolfe contributed 14 points in the Blue Devils’ 54-36 win over No. 10 North Judson. Aubrey Burgess accounted for 14 points in the top-ranked and defending state champion Miners’ 70-32 win over University. Matt’s pick: Linton Stockton 72, Tipton 56.

CLASS 1A CHAMPIONSHIP

Pioneer (24-4) vs. Loogootee (20-4) (11 a.m. Saturday): The No. 4 Lions claimed the state title a year ago with a 45-43 win over No. 7 Pioneer. Hailey Cripe recorded 22 points in the Panthers’ 70-54 win over Northfield. Brooklynn Jones accounted for 13 points in Loogootee’s 43-33 win over No. 8 Greenwood Christian. Matt’s pick: Pioneer 48, Loogootee 47.

CLASS 3A CHAMPIONSHIP

Washington (22-5) vs. Silver Creek (24-3) (3:30 Saturday): Mila Reynolds netted 17 points in the No. 8 Panthers’ 61-40 win over No. 6 Norwell. Alana Striverson’s 13 points lifted the top-ranked Dragons to 59-43 win over Tri-West. Matt’s pick: Silver Creek 66, Washington 62.

CLASS 4A CHAMPIONSHIP

Crown Point (24-1) vs. Brownsburg (17-10) (8 p.m. Saturday): Jessica Carrothers scored 28 points in the No. 3 Bulldogs’ 62-46 win over No. 6 Carroll (Fort Wayne). Ally Becki poured in 31 points in the Bulldogs’ 49-27 win over No. 7 Franklin. Matt’s pick: Crown Point 71, Brownsburg 67.
