Elkhart Memorial (1-0) at Elkhart Central (0-2) (North Side Gym): The Chargers earned a Class 4A sectional title last season with a 36-32 win over Elkhart Central. D’Arjon Lewis tallied 13 points in Elkhart Memorial’s 71-30 win over Elkhart Christian. Titus Rodgers came up with five points in the Blazers’ 55-42 loss to Goshen. Matt’s pick: Elkhart Memorial 59, Elkhart Central 50.

Goshen (1-1) at Mishawaka (0-0): The Cavemen came away with a 54-48 victory over Goshen a season ago. Drew Hogan netted 15 points for the RedHawks against Elkhart Central. A.J. Rosebush finished with 87 points for Mishawaka (14-9) last season. Matt’s pick: Goshen 49, Mishawaka 46.

Northridge (1-1) at Riley (1-0): The No. 7 (Class 4A) Wildcats cruised to a 76-45 win against Northridge last year. Alex Stauffer recorded seven points for the Raiders in their 60-45 loss to No. 1 (Class 2A) Westview. Trevor Fortune racked up 13 points in Riley’s 60-54 win over LaPorte. Matt’s pick: Riley 65, Northridge 57.

Plymouth (3-0) at Adams (0-1): The Eagles soared to a 63-53 victory over Plymouth a year ago. Adam Hunter contributed eight points in the Pilgrims’ 61-28 win over Triton. Quentez Columbus poured in 24 points in Adams’ 65-58 loss to Carroll (Fort Wayne). Matt’s pick: Plymouth 55, Adams 52.

Triton (1-1) at NorthWood (2-1): The Panthers roared past Triton, 57-35, during the 2017-18 campaign. Quentin Amsden had six points for the Trojans against Plymouth. Brock Flickenger finished with 10 points in NorthWood’s 63-45 win over Muncie Burris. Matt’s pick: NorthWood 61, Triton 48.

Washington (1-0) at LaPorte (1-1): The Slicers suffered a 64-52 loss at Washington last season. Jylen Perry scored 20 points in the Panthers’ 65-49 victory over Lake Central. Jake Spence rolled up 15 points in LaPorte’s 67-62 victory over Clay. Matt’s pick: Washington 63, LaPorte 54.

Warsaw (2-0) at Homestead (1-0): The Spartans marched past Warsaw, 56-38, last year. Jaylen Reese chipped in 13 points in the Tigers’ 59-35 win over Columbia City. Zak Krueger ended with 16 points in Homestead’s 46-41 win against Huntington North. Matt’s pick: Warsaw 45, Homestead 44.

Wawasee (0-2) at Manchester (1-0): The Warriors escaped with a 38-36 win against Manchester a season ago. Ben Hoffert had four steals in Wawasee’s 30-26 loss to Angola. Kam Lester netted 12 points in the Squires’ 61-49 win over Oak Hill. Matt’s pick: Manchester 42, Wawasee 39.

DECEMBER 1

Adams (0-1) at Fort Wayne Northrop (2-0): The Eagles flew past Fort Wayne Northrop, 71-67, last year. Shak Johnson registered 10 points for Adams against Carroll (Fort Wayne). Sydney Curry tallied 16 points and 14 rebounds for the Bruins in their 79-59 win over New Haven. Matt’s pick: Fort Wayne Northrop 69, Adams 61.

Clay (1-1) at South Bend Trinity (1-0): The Colonials and Trinity are playing on the hardwood for the first time. Jalen Harris racked up 16 points, including the game-winning 3-pointer, in Clay’s 68-65 win over Career Academy. Sean Pingel had 18 points in the Titans’ 70-21 win against Granger Christian. Matt’s pick: Clay 64, Trinity 51.

Crown Point (1-0) at Penn (1-0): The Kingsmen stormed past Crown Point, 72-46, last season. Sam Snodgrass netted 14 points in the Bulldogs’ 49-44 win over Bowman Academy. Beau Ludwig chipped in 18 points in Penn’s 69-45 win at Carroll (Fort Wayne). Matt’s pick: Penn 70, Crown Point 58.

Fort Wayne Bishop Luers (0-1) at Marian (0-0): The No.4 Knights claimed a 54-42 win against Fort Wayne Bishop Luers a year ago. Demarcus Hudson’s 22 points were not enough for the Knights in their 72-70 loss to Fort Wayne Canterbury. Kyron King recorded 5.1 points per game last season for Marian (21-4). Matt’s pick: Marian 67, Bishop Luers 62.

Glenn (1-1) at Oregon-Davis (0-1): The Bobcats dropped a 48-23 decision to Glenn a season ago. Robby Porter chipped in 15 points in the Falcons’ 59-35 win over South Central. Dylan Murphy poured in 11 points for Oregon-Davis in a 60-37 loss to Triton. Matt’s pick: Glenn 51, Oregon-Davis 41.

Riley (1-0) at Merrillville (1-0): The Pirates are looking to avenge a 69-56 loss to Riley in the 2017-18 season. Jaquan Ulmer tallied seven points for the Wildcats against LaPorte. Keon Thompson paved the way for Merrillville with 28 points in a 70-57 win over East Chicago Central. Matt’s pick: Riley 73, Merrillville 67.

Saint Joseph (1-0) at Marquette Catholic (1-1): The Indians edged Marquette Catholic, 72-70, last season. Jack Futa contributed 11 points for Saint Joseph in its 60-46 win at Concord. Colin Kenney racked up 29 points in the Blazers’ 69-66 win against Crete-Monee (Ill.). Matt’s pick: Saint Joseph 60, Marquette Catholic 59.

South Central (0-3) at Bremen (0-1): The Lions roared to a 44-32 win over South Central a year ago. Gavin Scott mustered only five points for the Satellites against Glenn. David Slos came up with four points in Bremen’s 50-39 loss to No. 5 (Class 2A) LaVille. Matt’s pick: Bremen 43, South Central 36.

Warsaw (2-0) at Huntington North (1-1): The Vikings recorded a 44-36 win against Warsaw last year. Tyler Metzinger managed nine points for Warsaw against Columbia City. Hank Pulver netted eight points in Huntington North’s 56-50 win over Mississinewa. Matt’s pick: Warsaw 47, Huntington North 46.

West Noble (1-1) at Wawasee (0-2): The Chargers were a 34-33 winner over Wawasee a season ago. Trevor Franklin scored seven points in West Noble’s 50-37 victory against Bethany Christian. Kameron Salazar had only two points for the Warriors against Angola. Matt’s pick: West Noble 40, Wawasee 38.
