LAKE WALES, Fla.—The Southeastern University golf team sits in fifth after the first of three rounds at the Webber Fall Invitational at Lake Wales Country Club.
Southeastern posted a team score of 10-over, 298 in the first round. USCB is the team leader with a score of 288.
Nicholas Maff posted an even-par round of 72 to start the tournament. The Monmouth transfer birdied two of his first six holes, and is in a tie for fourth overall.
Andres Padilla got off to a fast start, posting a 3-under 33 on the front nine, but was four over on the back, finishing with a 1-over 73, and is tied for 12th. He posted birdies on the fourth, fifth, sixth, and eighth holes.
Landry Miller is in 24th place, posting a 3-over 75 in the opening round. Miller finished even on the back nine with a birdie on 10 and a bogey on 18.
Noah Endicott is tied for 35th with a score of 78, and Jacob Soucinek rounded out the roster with a score of 79.
The second round begins Sunday morning.
