Michigan and Ohio State Earn Wrestler of the Week Honors

Wolverines’ Coon and Buckeyes’ Campbell claim Wrestler of the Week plaudits

Adam Coon, Michigan

Heavyweight – Sr. – Fowlerville, Mich. – Fowlerville

 

· Defeated Arizona State’s fourth-ranked Tanner Hall, 5-2, in the Wolverines’ dual-meet opener for his second victory over a ranked opponent this season

· Improved to 4-0 in his return after missing last season due to an injury

· The Academic All-Big Ten honoree earns the third Wrestler of the Week Award of his career and first of the season

· Last Michigan Wrestler of the Week: Stevan Micic (Jan. 17, 2017)

 

Te’Shan Campbell, Ohio State

165 pounds – Jr. – Pittsburgh, Pa. – Penn Hills

 

· Earned a 14-0 major decision over sixth-ranked Anthony Valencia of Arizona State in Ohio State’s home opener

· Remains unbeaten on the year, sporting a 5-0 record

· Earns the first Wrestler of the Week Award of his career
