Minnesota’s Samedy, Northwestern’s Thomas-Ailara and Purdue’s Hornung earn weekly honors
Player of the Week
Stephanie Samedy, Minnesota
OPP – Jr. – Clermont, Fla. – East Ridge
Led Minnesota to a 3-1 win against Penn State averaging 5.3 kills per set on a .475 hitting percentage
Recorded her first match hitting over .400 in 12 matches and the second time this season marking 21 kills in a match
Also added an ace and a block and collected her 10th double-double of the season
Garners her sixth career Player of the Week decoration and the third of the season

Defensive Player of the Week
Marissa Hornung, Purdue
L – So. – New Albany, Ind. – Providence
Guided Purdue to back-to-back wins to close out the regular season with victories against Michigan and Michigan State
Earned 46 digs for 4.60 digs per set, while adding five assists and was perfect on all receptions through 58 attempts
Tallied a career-best 29 digs in the Boilermakers’ win over Michigan
Collects her second career Defensive Player of the Week accolade and the second in as many weeks

Setter of the Week
Kylie Miller, Minnesota
S – Sr. – Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. – Rancho Cucamonga
Averaged 11.7 assists per set as the Gophers hit .318 on the weekend against Rutgers and Penn State
Against the Scarlet Knights, marked 33 assists, two aces and helped Minnesota hit a .382 in three sets
Followed with a 49-assist performance versus Penn State and completed the double-double with 10 digs
Receives her third career Setter of the Week award and the third of the season
