Minnesota, Notre Dame and Penn State Earn Three Stars

Robson named first star backstopping Gophers to win over No. 1 St. Cloud State on Sunday

 

First Star

Mat Robson, Minnesota

  • Backstopped the Gophers to a 2-0 win over No. 1 St. Cloud State on Sunday, making 34 saves on 34 shots for his first career shutout
  • Improved to 2-1-0 on the year with a .964 save percentage and a 1.01 GAA
  • Earns his second career weekly award

  • Backstopped Notre Dame to a weekend sweep of Michigan, making 68 saves for a .971 save percentage as the Fighting Irish extended their nation-leading winning streak to 15 games
  • Stopped 35 of 36 shots faced in Friday’s 2-1 victory, including 14 in the third period
  • Turned aside 33 shots faced on Saturday
  • Earns his sixth career weekly award

  • Led the Big Ten in goals (3) and shared the conference lead in points (4) to help the Nittany Lions go 1-0-1 against Wisconsin
  • Scored a career-high three goals, including the game-winner, as he registered the sixth hat trick in program history during a 5-1 victory over Wisconsin Friday night
  • Added an assist on the opening goal of Saturday’s contest during a 3-3 tie to extend his point-streak to four games (6-2-8)
  • Earns his third career weekly award and first of the season
