Missouri S&T, UIndy Earn Season¹s Final GLVC Baseball Weekly Awards

INDIANAPOLIS – Missouri S&T junior outfielder Matt Knickerbocker and University of Indianapolis senior pitcher Jake Sprinkle have been respectively named the season’s final Great Lakes Valley Conference Player and Pitcher of the Week in the sport of baseball, it was announced by the league office Tuesday.

Major: Petroleum Engineering
Team Result: W 12-4, W 9-0 (5/3), W 13-5 (5/4) vs. Rockhurst

Went 6-for-8 (.750) at the plate with nine runs batted in and five runs scored
Opened series with a 2-for-2 outing with two sacrifice flies, three RBI and two runs scored
Reached on his lone plate appearance in the second game, which was a pinch-hit two-run single
Finished the series 3-for-5 with four RBI and a pair of runs scored
Earns his first career Player of the Week award
