Missouri S&T, UIndy Garner Weekly GLVC Football Awards
INDIANAPOLIS – Missouri S&T senior quarterback Tyler Swart and senior defensive back Roderick Chapman, as well as University of Indianapolis freshman kick returner Toriano Clinton, have been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Players of the Week in football, it was announced by the league office Monday.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Tyler Swart, Missouri S&T
Sr., QB, Dickinson, Texas

Team Result: 48-23 win at Southwest Baptist
Registered one of the best quarterback performances in GLVC history in win over Bearcats
Threw for a career-high 448 yards – the sixth-most in S&T and GLVC history
Tossed a career-high five scoring passes, becoming just the 11th player in GLVC history to accomplish the feat
Posted a QB rating of 259.08, which is the sixth-highest in GLVC history
Five scoring passes increased his career total to 62, breaking the S&T career record and putting him in a tie for third (Nick Lonergan, QU, 2012-15) in GLVC history, just two shy of second place (Isaac Fisher, MCK, 2012-15)
Also broke the S&T career mark for completions, going 23-of-29 (79.3 percent) to give him 508 as a Miner
Finished with 451 yards of total offense, the sixth-most in S&T history and eight-most ever by a GLVC player
Became fifth passer in GLVC history to eclipse the 7,000-yard mark; his 7,045 yards are just 145 shy of surpassing UIndy’s Connor Barthel for fourth all-time
Miners finished with 609 yards of total offense, the third-highest mark program history
Earns his fifth career Offensive Player of the Week award (11/16/15, 10/17/16, 10/30/17, 9/3/18)
