COLUMBIA, Ky.—Southeastern University special teams standout Marquavis Myers was honored by the Mid-South Conference in his help leading the Fire to a 27-6 season-opening win at Point on Saturday.
The Orlando native was named the Sun Division’s Special Teams Player of the Week by the league office.
Myers recovered a blocked punt in the first quarter for a touchdown, and did the same in the second to help the Fire start the season 1-0. Additionally, Myers caught three passes for 27 yards.
Southeastern will host Georgetown on Saturday at 7 p.m.
