KANSAS CITY, Mo.—Following two special teams touchdowns on Saturday, Southeastern University junior Marquavis Myers was named the NAIA’s Special Teams Player of the Week.
Myers recovered a blocked punt in the first quarter for a touchdown, and did the same in the second to help the Fire start the season 1-0. Additionally, Myers caught three passes for 27 yards.
He becomes the second player in program history to be named NAIA Special Teams Player of the Week following David Larson on October 15 last season.
Southeastern hosts Georgetown on Saturday at 7 p.m.
