Myrtil Named Second Team All-Sun Conference

BRUNSWICK, Ga.—Southeastern University freshman Angelique Myrtil was named to the All-Sun Conference Women’s Tennis Second-Team, announced at the postseason banquet.

Myrtil posted a 4-3 record in conference play at singles, and was 6-8 overall this season playing at No. 2. She also teamed with Sharienne Ricardo at the top of the doubles lineup and went 3-4 in conference play.

Also honored were Nicole Backherms, Sydni Brookhouser, and Ricardo as Academic All-Conference. To be eligible, a student-athlete must carry a 3.5 grade point average, and have completed two semesters at their institution.

On the men’s side, Pedro Bahniuk, Abe Rosenthall, Matt Scales, and Luke Sauer were named to the Academic All-Conference team.
