NAIA Announces Final Top-25 Ratings and Tourney Field for Women’s Tennis

KANSAS CITY – The NAIA recently announced its final Women’s Tennis Top-25 Poll and unveiled the 24-team bracket for the upcoming NAIA Women’s Tennis National Championship Tournament in Mobile, Alabama from May 16-20.

No. 10 Indiana Wesleyan (35-7) earned 272 points in the final poll after blitzing through the Crossroads League for the regular season and tournament titles to earn the league’s automatic bid. The Wildcats will open play against 23rd-seeded and RV Asbury on Tuesday at 2:30 pm ET, with the winner advancing to take on seventh-seeded and No. 7 Xavier on Wednesday at 2:00 pm ET.

RV Marian (13-11) finished its season just outside the top-25, hauling in 65 votes for the 26th-most in the poll. The Knights went 7-1 in Crossroads League play and finished runner-up to IWU in the CL Tournament but did not receive an at-large bid into Nationals.

The NAIA Top-25 Poll is voted on by a panel of head coaches from around the nation. The Postseason Top-25 Poll will be announced on May 24.
