Battle Creek, MI – #1 Ancilla College (21-1, 11-0) used a 38-22 halftime lead to take a 28-point advantage midway through the second half. Kellogg Community College fought back from there getting to within eight points of the Chargers at the end of the game. Ancilla won 75-67 over Kellogg in a Michigan Community College Athletic Association game Wednesday. It was the Chargers first game since being ranked #1.
Erick Shepherd led the Chargers with 18 points and Jair Rodgers added 15. DK Fox finished with 14 points, while Ty’Sean Sheppard and Tyler Chisom each had 10.
The Charger’s take a break from the road Saturday when they host Kalamazoo Valley Community College at 3 p.m. at the LifePlex. There will be no women’s game on Saturday as KVCC suspended their women’s program at the start of conference games.
