MARION, Ind. – No. 16 Indiana Wesleyan women’s basketball snapped their two-game losing skid Wednesday, defeating Crossroads League foe Spring Arbor University 77-51 The Wildcats were led in scoring by senior Nicole Ignasiak and freshman Margot Woughter who each scored 15 apiece.
PAINT PRESENCE
- IWU used their height to their advantage Wednesday, scoring 46 of their 77 points in the paint. SAU mustered just 18 paint points on 49 total points. The height factor played dividends in the rebound category as IWU out-rebounded SAU 38-23.
THE RUN
- Indiana Wesleyan broke the score wide open kicking off a 20-0 run with 3:30 left in the third quarter. Indiana Wesleyan shot 8-of-13 from the field during the stretch for a whopping 62%. IWU finished the game allowing Spring Arbor just ten points in the final 13 minutes of play.
