MARION, Ind. – Indiana Wesleyan softball struggled to score runs Tuesday, falling 2-1 and 6-0 to League foe #5 Marian University. Indiana Wesleyan stranded 13 Wildcats on base in the two games while mustering just seven hits. IWU all but tasted victory in game one, allowing two MU runs in the bottom of the seventh.
GAME ONE NOTES
• Trinity Medina drove in the lone run for the Wildcats, scoring in Lauren Buckley.
• Mckenzey Ridge went the distance for the Wildcats, giving up seven hits while striking out one.
• Lauren Buckley was the lone Wildcat with two hits, going 2-of-3 from the plate with a stolen base.
GAME TWO NOTES
• Addie Benham and Hannah Miller split pitching duties in game two, giving up 11 hits while striking out four.
• IWU mustered just three hits in the game coming from Victoria Boyer, Miranda Wehrle, and Lauren Buckley who tripled.
