Notre Dame and Wisconsin Earn Three Stars Honors

Badgers’ Pelton-Byce earns First Star accolades after posting a conference-leading six points against Notre Dame   

 

First Star

Ty Pelton-Byce, Wisconsin
F – Sr. – Madison, Wis.

 

  • Posted a conference-leading six points on two goals and four assists to help No. 5/5 Wisconsin go 1-0-1 against Notre Dame last weekend
  • Recorded a pair of helpers in Friday’s 4-2 victory, including an assist on the game-winner
  • Tied Saturday’s game with 26.8 seconds left with his second goal and fourth point of the game for his first career four-point game
  • Earns his first career weekly award
  • Last Wisconsin honorees: Dylan Holloway (First Star) and Cole Caufield (Third Star) on Feb. 9, 2021

 

Second Star

Alex Steeves, Notre Dame

  • Led the Fighting Irish with four points on the weekend at No. 5/5 Wisconsin
  • Registered a goal and an assist on Friday for his fourth multi-point game of the season and the 11th of his career
  • Found the back of the net from the faceoff circle to bring the Irish back within one on Saturday, before notching his second goal of the night with 6:18 to go in the third for his second-straight multi-point game
  • The Academic All-Big Ten honoree claims his second career weekly honor

  • Recorded a trio of goals to lead No. 5/5 Wisconsin to a 1-0-1 mark against Notre Dame last weekend
  • Became the 75th Badger to reach 100 career points with the game-winning goal on Friday that broke a 2-2 tie at 8:18 of the third period
  • Found the back of the net at 11:11 in the third to put Wisconsin up 4-3 on Saturday night
  • The two-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree claims his second career weekly honor
